Spring Camp 2012

This years Spring camp will be held on Salisbury Plain. If you are eligable to attend return consent forms and cheque for £25.00 (payable to A company DACF) by Weds 29th without fail or you will not go!

The Duke Of Edinburgh's Award (DofE)

The DofE award is open to cadets 14yrs and above. A Company DACF organises and runs many activities in order for you to complete your Bronze, Silver, and Gold award. If you wish to take part in this very worthwile scheme see Sjt Curtis about how to get started.

Any DofE activities are on the notice board in the Detachment and on the Monthly calender.

Sat 25th  - ACF vs ATC ''getting to know you'' training day and shooting competition at the Detachment 

4x Stands - .22 shooting, A2 trg, Radio users, flt simulator fun. Dress - combat 95's plus Jkt. Timings -10.00 - 16.00hrs approx

8-16 Cadets required. Any one wishing to take part - inform Det Commander by Monday 20th.

Sat 25th - Dof E skills - Archery

SPORTS South west regional and National X Country,Rugby,Hockey and Football Dates and timings etc TBA

02nd-04th - APC weekend Okehampton Battle Camp Basic to 3 Star Training and assessments.

Timings -

Friday 02nd. Arrive by 18:45hrs at the Detachment for roll call. Meet the coach at 19:00hrs at the bus stop opposite Waitrose.

Sunday 04th. Coach Returns to the Detachment approx 16:30hrs.

Kit if you require sleeping bag or bergan see SSI Rogers.

Kit List If you require a kit list either - download and print from the attachments above or collect one from the Detachment.

Weds 07th - Full ORDERS briefing (presentation) for Ex Lightfoot. anyone not attending the orders briefing will not attend the exercise. Section commander Orders to each section.

Mon 12th - EXERCISE Lightfoot. Mutters Moor WCTA RV24. Night Recce/intel gathering exercise. Normal timings, wear appropriate warm waterproof clothing!

Weds 21st - Visit by Devon & Cornwall Police Officers Roads Policing Unit (and possibly Devon and Somerset fire and Rescue demonstration unit). Presentation and interactive discussion on road safety.

31st - 01st April.  Spring Camp 2012 Salisbury Plain. 1 Star training (must have completed Basic Cadre) 3 Star Cadre, 1st aid at work and Radio classification courses.  (Some places for Senior cadet to assist available) Cost will be £25.00   payable to A Company DACF

Consent/medical forms  need to be handed in by the 29th February at the Latest.
