On Saturday 11th February 2012 the Company held their first ever Drill Competition.

It was held at the Royal Marines Training Centre at Lympstone which was a excellent venue

and it certainly gave the competition a boost.

The Cadets & Staff were really impressed with the facilities there.

A thank you must go to WO1 Henderson the First Drill for the Royal Marines and his Colour Sergeant for

acting as the sole judges (even if some cadets found them a little scary).

We were really welcomed and looked after they could not do enough for us.

All the teams done really well with their turnout and efforts with their drill.

You are all winners in my eyes but as it was a competition we have to have a result.

The top three places were   3rd Cullompton    2nd  Wyvern   1st  Crediton

Very well done

I would just like to echo the OC's Comments. Well done to everyone who took part. I know that you have all put many, many hours of training time into this, some detachments even arranged training from outside agencies in order to improve their drill. Thank you to SSI Rogers and SI mulligan for volunteering to drive the minibuses and ferry everyone around. I would also like to thank both the Adjutant and RSM of CTCRM at Lympstone, without their approval this would have been a non - starter. Well Done all of you. Roll on next years competition.
